User Draw Methods Properties Parameters Tab

Every tag included in a DM (user-defined drawing method) is considered to be a parameter.  When you draw that DM on an application page, you will see two pieces of information for each tag:

•    A message telling the name of the original tag

•    A prompt to select a new tag to link to, instead of the original

DMs are designed to be flexible:  As shown in the following image, the DM "Basic Pump" includes 3 tags.

This "basic pump" can be used many times in an application, with each instance linked to tags having different I/O addresses.  This feature can greatly increase the speed with which you can create applications.
