Valid Page File Name Characters

Valid characters that may be used in page file names consist of any combination of:

•    Alphanumeric characters (i.e. A through Z, and/or 0 through 9)

•    The underscore character ( _ )

•    The decimal character ( . )

 Page file names cannot include other symbols (i.e. dollar sign ($), number hatch (), or equals (=) characters); spaces; or strictly numeric characters. Because these symbols are acceptable in page titles, and the page file name is automatically based on the page title, VTS strips any invalid characters and/or spaces when generating the page file name.
