11.1 On Your Own

This On Your Own section will give you the opportunity to practice adding pages, and configuring navigation options. Complete the following tasks on your own:

 

1.  Add a new page titled "Chlorination Unit" to the application.

The Chlorination Unit page should be a full-sized page. Do not configure a background color for the page, as you will be adding a background image for the new page in exercise 11.2.

2.  Use the appropriate tools to ensure that the Chlorination Unit application page is added to a new sub-tree of the menu, to be named ”Process Equipment”.

3.  Add a page change button for the new Chlorination Unit application page so that it is easily accessible from the navigation bar.

4.  Open the Booster Station application page. Use the appropriate tools to add a static equipment bitmap of the chlorination unit to the right of the compressor on the Booster Station application page (use "Equip13" from the Equipment group).

5.  Add a label beneath the chlorination unit so that operators may easily identify it.

6.  Attach the chlorination unit to the water main using yellow pipe 3 pixels in width.

Remember to use the Send To Back button to send the pipe behind the chlorination unit bitmap for a more realistic presentation.

7.  Finally, add a Page Hotbox around the chlorination unit bitmap. Configure this Page Hotbox to open the Chlorination Unit application page when clicked.

The completed Booster Station application page should look similar to Figure 140.
