When you have multiple loggers recording data for tags in your application and you often plot the values of a set of associated tags simultaneously, you may wish to save these tag sets as a pen group that can be loaded at a click using the pen group selector drop-down list. The instructions below will assist you in the creation of a pen group.
1. Open the Tag Selector.
2. Ensure that "AI20_1 Booster Tank Level" is still selected in the Tag Selection list. If not, select it and add it to the Selected Tags list.
3. Select "DI10_1 Booster Pump Status" in the Tag Selection list.
4. Click the Select Tag button. The tag is added to the Selected Tags/Queries for Plotting list.
5. Click the Save Group button. The Save Group dialog will open.
6. Enter a name for this pen group in the Group Name field.

7. Click the OK button.
8. Click the Plot button on the Tag Selector dialog.
The tags belonging to the new pen group will be plotted on the graph. The pen group selector drop-down list will now contain a reference to the new pen group so that you may instantly plot the values of its tags on the graph. To test the pen group, select Empty from the pen group selector drop-down list in the tool bar to clear the graph of all pens, then select your new pen group from the pen group selector to instantly load the associated pens onto the graph.
