16.2 Removing Questionable Data Flags Using the Shortcut Menu

1.  Close the Configuration Toolbox to place the application in operation mode.

2.  Right-click the booster pump bitmap representing "DI10_1 Booster Pump Status".

A shortcut menu opens as shown in Figure 195.

3.  Select "Questionable Data" from the shortcut menu.

The shortcut menu closes, and the numeric drawing method representing "DI10_1 Booster Pump Status" no longer displays a questionable data indicator.

If you again examine the shortcut menu for "DI10_1 Booster Pump Status", you will see that the checkmark no longer appears for the "Questionable Data" menu item, indicating that questionable data is currently "off" for this tag.

Further, you can see that the shortcut menu for "DI10_1 Booster Pump Status" contains a "Properties" menu item. As you saw earlier in the tutorial, the "Properties" menu item opens the tag properties folder for the selected tag. You could also use this method to remove or add a questionable data flag to a tag.

Although it is not readily apparent in the tutorial application, as the tutorial application is not a networked application running on more than one workstation, there is a distinct difference between using the shortcut menu to modify tag properties such as "Questionable Data", or to access a tag properties folder. This difference is defined in the section that follows.
