6.3 Adding a Graphic Object to Represent a Pressure Transmitter

In this exercise, you will add a graphic to represent a pressure transmitter for the booster tank. We will then use the line tool to attach the pressure transmitter to the booster tank and to the booster tank pressure display.

 

1.  Click the Bitmap button in the Configuration Toolbox. The temporary bitmap image will attach to the cursor.  Place this on the page just above the tank as shown:

The Graphic Editor for Bitmaps dialog opens.

2.  Click on the Select Bitmap button to display the bitmap groups.

3.  Click the Instruments button to open the Instruments group of graphics.

4.  Select the "PT" graphic from the Instruments group.

5.  Click the OK button. The newly selected pressure transmitter graphic is displayed on the page.

You will now step through the process of connecting the pressure transmitter object to the booster tank and the booster tank pressure display using the Line tool.
