7.1 Adding a Custom Font Style Tag

In this exercise, you will create a new font style tag. You will then use the new font style tag to add text to the Booster Station application page.

1.  Click the Tag Browser tool in the Configuration Toolbox.

The Tag Browser opens and displays the last known tag type with which you worked (digital input tags).

2.  Select Font Style from the Types drop-down list.

3.  Click the New button.

A new font style tag properties dialog opens and displays the identification properties of the ID tab.

4.  Change the Area property from "Tank" to "System". This tag will be used across all areas of the application, not just the tank area.

5.  Enter "EquipmentLabel" in the Name field and press the Enter key.

To maintain consistency with the existing font style tags, do not enter a space between the words.

6.  Enter "Font for Equipment Labels" in the Description field and press the Enter key. The ID tab properties should appear like the example shown in Figure 86.

7.  Click on the Settings tab to open it.

Note that there is a Change button on the Settings tab. This button is used to change the settings for the font to be associated with this font style tag.

8.  Click the Change button to open the Font dialog.

12. Click the OK button. The Font dialog closes and the new font attributes are displayed on the Settings tab. The Settings tab should now appear similar to Figure 88.
