Create a List of System Process Information

In order to successfully establish any VTS application, you must know something about the equipment and the I/O device(s) in order to create your tags. The next step in planning your application is to gather a list of system process information. For the purposes of the tutorial application, the following information has been provided for you.

Note: When gathering process information, do not forget the communications-related elements, and any special requirements requested by your client. In the table below, we added an entry for the Modicon PLC that reads and writes to the equipment, and we added a second entry for the serial port to which the Modicon PLC will be attached. We also added 1 entry for the client's request to record the levels of the booster tank, and 2 entries for the client's request to monitor the level of the booster tank and signal when it drops below 30 inches and 20 inches.
