Getting Started as an Operator

As an operator, you will be using an application created for you by a developer. Since VTS is used in industries as diverse as food handling to waste water treatment, every application will have a different user interface and the details of how you do your job will not be the same as those of an operator using VTS in a different industry.

 

There are, however, several features of VTS that are common to all applications.  This section will describe how to use those common features. At the end of this chapter, you can expect to know how to start VTS, move from one page to another, review logged data, acknowledge alarms and shut VTS down.
