During the installation process, you were notified that SAPI 5.1 Speech Engine components are required to take full advantage of the functionality of VTS. The SAPI 5.1 Speech Engine components are used for the VTS speech capabilities, such as the Alarm Dialer System (see the Developer's Guide: "Alarm Dialer System"), which contacts designated operators by phone (and/or pager and e-mail) to notify when alarms have gone unacknowledged for a user-defined period of time.
You can install the SAPI 5.1 Speech Engine components from one of three sources:
• The VTS installation CD.
• The Trihedral FTP site (contact Trihedral Engineering Limited for details).
• The Microsoft web site.
The speech software development kit can be found on the Microsoft Downloads website (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads). Use the search tool in the website to look for the keyword "SAPI". You will need to download and install the file SpeechSDK51.exe
