Installing Upgrades

If you are upgrading older applications to work with a newer version of VTS, it is necessary for you to recompile the applications before any pages can be edited.

If you are upgrading the VTS software on a networked system, the primary configuration server must be upgraded first, followed by all client workstations. Networked configuration processes may not work while your remote system contains mixed versions.

If you are using the VTS ODBC driver or other optional features such as the VTS Internet Client, you may also require a new program key in order for those features to continue working in the newer version.  After installing the update, click on the About VTS button in the VTS Application Manager to check that all the components you need are available.
