Lesson 17: Backup the Application

•      Learn about backing up your application; and

•      Learn about restoring a backup.

Lesson 17 Overview

Backing up your files is an important task for every application. It is recommended that you create a backup of your applications and files every time you make configuration changes.

 

Some backup programs are capable of copying open files while others are not.  In general, the former are recommended – check the specifications of your backup software to see if it can save files that are otherwise locked by another application. 

 

This exercise shows you how to make a backup if you do not own a full-featured backup program.
