Lesson 6: Enhancing the Operator Interface

Objectives:

•      Enhance the operator display using drawing objects and graphic details; and

•      Use the pipe tool.

Lesson 6 Overview

To help your operators to associate the display with the physical system there are some remaining pieces of equipment such as valves and pipes that exist within the booster station system and should therefore be drawn on your application page.

These pieces of equipment do not require tags and do not have process information, however drawing them on the Booster Station application page will help operators to correlate the operator display with the physical system.

 

In the exercises that follow you will add pipes, valves, pressure and level transmitters to the system to enhance its appearance.

It is estimated that Lesson 6 will take approximately 25 minutes to complete.
