Objectives:
• Learn about the default font style tags that exist for every new standard application;
• Learn how to create your own font style tags; and
• Use the Text tool to label the objects on your application page.
Lesson 7 Overview
As you may recall, when you first opened the Tag Browser, "All" was selected in the Types drop-down list, and the tag list displayed a series of default tags. These same default tags are created each time you start a new standard application.
Some of these default tags are font style tags. They belong to the font style tag type and are used widely in VTS to display fonts in items such as the tooltips.
The properties of the default font style tags should not be modified. VTS provides the ability for you to create your own font style tags that you can then use throughout your application. Many of the tools that use text as part of their display provide the option to select a font style tag to determine the appearance of that text.
In this lesson, you will learn how to configure your own font style tag, and use this tag with the Text tool to label the objects on your application page.
Estimated Time
