If you are upgrading your VTS and VTScada software on a remote system (i.e. one that is run on multiple workstations), the primary configuration server must be upgraded first, and then all clients may be upgraded. Any online configuration actions may not work while your system contains mixed versions.
Note: It is recommended that you backup your application directory on the primary configuration server prior to upgrading (as well as on a regular basis).
Note: If you have added custom graphics to the VTS layer, and are upgrading to a new version of VTS, the new version will overwrite the old VTS layer (and your custom graphics) with the new VTS layer directory (and graphics). If it is your practice to save custom graphics within the VTS layer directory, be sure to back up the graphics on a regular basis.
