Screen Displays

VTS enables you to present information to operators using a series of screens or "pages". Pages are developed in such a way that each visually represents physical equipment and processes in a way that is similar to the actual equipment layout and is easily understandable.

The general layout of each page and the appearance of each operator display are handled by the VTS Display Manager. The VTS Display Manager is the workbench that enables you to develop pages, and then serves as the platform for the finished pages.

As a development workbench, the Display Manager provides you with all the tools required to build your pages. These powerful and diverse tools are accessed at the click of a button. The Display Manager also incorporates convenient navigation aids such as a multi-level menu and page change buttons that allow operators to quickly switch between the pages that make up their application. Further, the Display Manager keeps in memory the last 15 pages viewed, and enables users to move backwards and forwards through this history using convenient page history buttons.

As a platform for the finished pages, the Display Manager is itself highly customizable, enabling you to change its behavior and appearance. For example, you can easily configure the Display Manager to show multiple pages simultaneously on the screen. Further, the Display Manager can support up to four video monitors on a single computer, all sharing the same keyboard and mouse for your more complex displays.
