The VTS Application Manager (VAM) is your starting point unless the application has been configured to start immediately, bypassing the VAM.

Figure 1
The Application Type
Allows you to filter the list of Available Applications to any of the following:
• All
• Standard Applications
• Script Applications
• VTScada Applications
You may be surprised to see that every application is present in the list of Application Types. This is a reflection of VTS’s layered nature. Every application that you create can also be considered as a potential layer for new applications to be built upon. Thus, every application is properly considered to be both an application and an Application Type for the purpose of filtering the list of Available Applications.
Show Path
Displays the directory name where the application can be found. This is normally located below the VTS installation directory. When not checked, the application name will be shown without its path.
Available Applications
The list of applications available will be shown in this list, subject to filtering by the Application Type.
The Control Buttons
• Run Starts an application. (Never attempt to run the VTS Library!)
• Add New For adding a new application – either one created from scratch or one based on another existing application
• Compile Applications can be efficiently modified outside VTS. Whenever you do so, you must always compile that application in order to run the most recent version.
• Remove When removing an application, you have the choice of simply removing it from the list of Available Applications (but keeping all of the files) or, of removing the listing, the files and the directory.
• Properties Set various properties such as application name, database configuration, whether Debug Symbols are to be created, etc.
• Internet Client Configure the VTS Internet Server.
• Help Opens the help files.
• About VTS Display the version number and the list of contributors
• Exit End all running applications and terminate VTS.
