When you start VTS, the VTS Application Manager (also referred to as the "VAM") opens. As its name implies, the VTS Application Manager is the management tool that acts both as an application production tool as well as a gateway to your VTS applications.
The VAM consists of a drop-down list of application types, a list of available applications, and a series of command buttons. The VAM and its parts are illustrated below.

To begin, you need to know how to use three main areas of the VAM:
• Available Applications list,
• Application Type drop-down list, and
• Command buttons.
