There are 9 command buttons featured on the VTS Application Manager (VAM):
Run/Stop

About VTS
Exit
Four of these will be described here to help you get started:
Run/Stop Button
The Run button appears at the top of the command buttons on the VAM. Upon using it to start an application, it immediately becomes a Stop button for that application.
To run an application, simply select it from the Available Applications list and click the Run button. To stop an application, make sure that it is selected in the Available Applications list and click the same button, now labeled "Stop".
You can run more than one application at a time. Note that, while one application is running, the button will only be labeled "Stop" while that application is selected in the list of available applications. As soon as another is selected, the label will read "Run".
Add New Button
The Add New button allows you to:
Create a new VTS application, either from scratch or by starting with an existing application.
Add an existing application to the list of Available Applications
Retrieve a networked application from a server.
Properties Button
The Properties button allows you to view and configure the properties of a selected application. Some properties can be changed, such as the application's name, whether it should start automatically when VTS starts, database authentication credentials and the list of configuration servers. Other information, such as the path to the directory where the application is located and the application type can only be viewed, not changed.
Help Button
The VAM's Help button opens the available VTS online help files. These include:
The VTS Operator's Guide
This Getting Started with VTS guide
The VTS Developer's Guide
The VTS Programmer's Guide
These help files will open on your computer screen in their own window, allowing you to refer to help concepts while you are working with your VTS application. Each of the help files has a table of contents, an index, and a search function to assist you in getting the answers you need.
Remember that you can also press F1 at any time to open context-sensitive help while developing your application.
