Selecting the "Access MDB File" option in the "Output Type" drop-down list enables you to save report data into a Microsoft Access database file.
To generate a report as a Microsoft Access database file:
1. Configure the report type, the tags whose data you wish included in the report, and the duration for the report. (If you need assistance in completing these tasks, please refer to Report Time Periods, and Generate a Report.)
2. Select "Access MDB File" from the "Output Type" drop-down list.
3. Click the "Browse" button below the "Output Type" drop-down list. The "Output File" dialog opens.
4. Browse to the directory where you wish to save your report; OR type the full path (including drive letter, file name, and extension) to the location where you wish the report to be saved (e.g. "C:\MyReports\MyHourlyTotalReport.mdb"), and proceed to step 7 below. Please note that the directory you specify must be an existing directory.
5. Enter a name for your text file in the "File Name" field.
6. Click the "Save" button. You are returned to the Reports page where the path, file name, and extension you have configured for your text file appears in the "File" field.
7. Click the "Run Report" button.
You may send report data formatted as a Microsoft Access database file as an e-mail attachment. Instructions appear in Send Report Data as Attachment to an E-mail Message.
Note: If you are accessing the VTS reports page over the world wide web, the path you specify for your report will be relative to your PC's hard drive, rather than that of the server upon which the application is running.
