Clear Manual Data

If you have been granted the appropriate privilege, you may clear manual data for a tag so that the reporting of incoming values from the equipment can resume. This operation can be accomplished using the shortcut menu.

To clear Manual Data:

1.  Right-click the graphic object representing the equipment process. The shortcut menu opens and displays the options available for the selected object.

2.  Select the Manual Data option from the shortcut menu. (Note: If you have not been granted the user privilege to enter manual data, the Manual Data option is disabled in the shortcut menu.) The Manual Data dialog opens and displays the Manual Data field and its value.

3.  Clear the value from the Manual Data field. There should no longer be any value (including 0) in the Manual Data field.

4.  Click the OK button. The Operational Change Pending dialog may display briefly while the data is being updated. Do not click the Cancel button; rather wait for the dialog to close.

The change in the manual data value is propagated to all workstation running the application automatically. The reporting of incoming data values from the equipment to the tag resumes.
