Printing the Alarm List

You can print the alarm list that is currently being viewed on the Alarm page by clicking the Print button that appears in the Display Manager's title bar while the Alarm page is displayed.

The Alarm List Print dialog (shown below) opens, and enables you to configure the time period for the alarm entries you wish to print, and the method of printing.

The components of the Alarm List Print dialog are as follows:

Print to File

When selected, the Print to File checkbox enables you to save the alarm list to a text file, rather than printing to the default Windows printer. You are given the opportunity to enter the extension and location for the text file.

To print the alarm list on the default Windows printer, follow the steps indicated below:

1.  Select the List Options button that represents the alarm list you wish to print to a file

2.  [Optional] Apply any filters or sorting criteria you require.

3.  Click the Print button that appears in the Display Manager's title bar.

The Alarm List Print dialog opens as shown earlier.

4.  Select either "All", or select Range and configure a start and end date/time.

5.  If printing immediately, click OK.  Otherwise, continue with the following steps to print to a file.

6.  [Only if printing to a file]  Select the "Print To File" checkbox.

7.  Click the OK button.

The Print to File dialog opens and displays the application directory, and the default name of the file to which the alarms are to be saved.

8.  Enter a name for the file in the File Name edit field.

By default, the file name is set to "Alarms.PRN".

9.  Click the Save as type drop-down list.

The available file types are printer file (.PRN), or text file (.TXT).

10. Select the file type corresponding to the file type you wish the file to be formatted.

The extension of the file changes accordingly (".PRN" or ".TXT").

11. Click the Save button.

The print file (or text file, depending upon the file type you've chosen) is saved to the location you've selected.
