Adding, Removing and Saving Pens

A “pen” is a tag selected for plotting in the Historical Data Viewer (HDV). This definition also includes notes (notebook tags).

The tag selector allows you to add pens to and remove pens from the display.  You can also save named pen groups so that you do not need to select individual tags each time you open the HDV.  Pen groups can be modified, copied and deleted.

Further, the tag selector contains a number of selection filters to help you find the tags you wish to plot from a large system. 

To open the Tag Selector, click on the tag selector button:
