Filtering the alarm list is different than sorting the alarm list. A filter removes any alarms that do not meet a specific criterion from the currently displayed list. When you filter the currently displayed alarm list by area, all alarms that do not match the selected area are removed from the list.
To filter the currently displayed alarm list by area:
1. Click the "Show All Areas" drop-down list.
2. Select the alarm area whose alarms you wish to view.
Only alarms matching the selected area are now shown in the currently displayed alarm list.
