Generate Multiple Reports Simultaneously

The "Number of Consecutive Periods" field on the Reports page enables you to indicate the number of report iterations you wish the report generator to perform. The report generator will produce each report in a separate file, or spreadsheet. The first report will encompass the period you configured using the "Start Time" and "End Time" spin boxes, on the specified date; the subsequent reports will encompass the same time period, but on consecutive dates (from the start date to the present).

For example, if you wish to generate a separate report for each day in a given month, you would specify a 24-hour time period beginning on the first day of the month using the "Start Time" and "End Time" spin boxes, and then set the "Number of Consecutive Periods" field to 30 (or 31, depending upon the length of the selected month). The first report generated will include all data recorded for the first day of the month in the 24-hour period you specified. The second report will include all data recorded for the second day of the month within a 24-hour period. The report generator will then continue to generate reports for the next 31 consecutive dates.

Note: The report generator obviously cannot iterate reports into the future; therefore, the iterations are purposely limited, and will reset to a logical number if the number of iterations you have specified extend to future dates.

To generate consecutive report iterations:

1.  Configure the report type, and the tags whose data you wish included in the report. (If you need assistance in completing these tasks, please refer to Generate a Report.)

2.  Set the "Start Time" spin box to the starting date and time for the first report to be generated (you must use a custom time period, rather than the preset time periods, to generate consecutive reports).

3.  Set the "End Time" spin box to the ending date and time for the first report to be generated (again, you must use a custom time period, rather than the preset time periods, to generate consecutive reports).

4.  Enter the number of consecutive reports you wish generated. The first report will be generated for the time period configured, starting on the first date configured. The second report will be generated for the configured time period, but on the next consecutive date. The report generator will continue to execute reports for the same time period, but on consecutive dates (past to present).

5.  Select an output format for the report using the "Output Types" drop-down list. (If you need assistance in selecting an output type, please refer to Report Output Formats)

6.  Click the "Run Report" button.

The section that follows discusses the available report output formats.
