Save a Pen Group

A pen group is a set of tags that are frequently plotted and have therefore been referenced as a group so that they can be added to the Historical Data Viewer page as a set, rather than being added one by one, each time you wish to plot their data.

To save a pen group, follow the instructions below.

1.  If the Tag Selector is not open, click the Tag Selector button.

2.  Select the tags you wish to add to your new pen group.

3.  Click the Save Group button. The Save Group dialog will open.

4.  Enter a name for the new pen group in the Group Name field.

5.  Press the Enter key on your keyboard to input the new name.

6.  Click the OK button.

7.  Click the Plot button. The tags belonging to the new pen group will be plotted on the Historical Data Viewer page's graph.
