Stopping an Application Using the Application's Windows Close Button

Note: VTS applications are designed to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Never stop a VTS application unless you have expressly been advised to do so by your VTS administrator or other authorized personnel.

If your VTS application has been configured with a Windows title bar appearing on top of the Display Manager's title bar, and you have the appropriate user privileges, you may stop your VTS application by clicking the Windows close box, as indicated by the cursor in the image displayed below.

The application shown above has been configured to display a Windows title bar above the Display Manager's title bar, complete with maximize, minimize, and close buttons.

To stop a VTS application using the Windows close box that appears in the application's title bar:

1.  Click the Windows close box. The Stop Application dialog opens.

2.  Click the OK button. The application stops running, and you are returned to the VAM.

If you have not been granted the appropriate user privileges, you may receive "Access Denied" messages, like the ones described in Security-related Dialogs.
