You and your fellow operators may have been assigned security accounts (known as user accounts) that ensure that only authorized personnel are able to access your VTS application and operate the equipment comprising your system. Your user account consists of a username (typically your first initial and last name), a password that only you should know, and a series of permissions known as "user privileges" that determine what parts of the application you can access, and what operations you can perform.
