The Alarm page is an important part of your VTS application. Alarms can notify you of certain conditions or events within your physical equipment, from equipment failures, to values that have risen higher than normal or values that have fallen lower than normal.
To open the Alarm page, click the Menu button in the Display Manager's navigation bar, and choose "Alarm Page"; click the "Alarm Page" page change button appearing in the navigation bar (if one is present); or click the Alarm Page symbol appearing to the right of the Display Manager's title bar. The Alarm page opens in the Display Manager.

The image above shows the standard VTS Alarm page.
Note: Please note that the appearance of the Alarm page for your application may differ from the Alarm page shown above, depending on the configuration of your VTS application. However, the basic functionality of the Alarm page is standard to all VTS applications.
Depending on the specific requirements of your VTS application, the list of data displayed on the Alarm page might include:
• The current state of the alarm
• The priority of the alarm
• A short description of the type of alarm
• The time and date at which the alarm was set or cleared
• The area to which the alarm belongs
• The alarm message
• An optional value for the value of the tag that generated the alarm
The three main purposes of the Alarm page are:
• To notify you of alarm conditions as they occur
• To allow you to respond to alarm conditions
• To allow you to review past alarm conditions for surveying and research purposes
Alarms are viewed and managed using VTS's built-in Alarm page. The section that follows discusses the features of the Alarm page.
