Sets the maximum number of characters permitted in an alarm name within the Alarms.db and Alarms.log files. If this limit is exceeded, your alarm databases will not function correctly when the application is restarted. (Symptoms would include not being able to acknowledge a single alarm that has its name longer than this limit). Please note that changing this limit once the database files exist will corrupt the files.
