As you are aware, VTS has several services that are responsible for specific sets of tasks and groups of operations, such as alarms, data logging, security, and so forth. By default, these services fall under the control and management of the primary configuration server as specified by the [RPCMANAGER-SERVERS] section; however, it is prudent to modify this configuration in such a way that each service uses a workstation other than the primary configuration server as its primary server, thereby sharing out the workload and reducing the amount of disruption that could occur in the event of a server failure.
