1. On the server, run the layer where the tag type's code resides.
2. Lock the tag type's source file and stop the running layer.
3. Edit the tag type's source file.
4. Compile the layer and fix any compiler errors.
5. If you added/deleted any parameters, add/delete the column to/from the tag table in the application layer's Points.mdb. Do not edit SCT.mdb.
6. If you changed any parameters, open the Application Properties dialog for the application layer and select the Force Clients to Resynchronize: Tags checkbox; all OEM layers will have their Force Clients to Resynchronize: Tags checkboxes selected as a result. All clients will be requested to restart at this point, but don't restart them yet.
7. Start the layer where the tag type's code resides on the server and perform an Update Item on its source file.
8. If the OEM layer is the one running, stop it and start the application layer.
9. Restart all clients.
