Modes: Unsecured and Secured States

There are two modes in which the Security Manager operates:

Unsecured Mode The first time it is executed, a VTS application operates in unsecured mode. This means that the user is permitted access to all VTS components (tools and objects).

On subsequent startups, while *SecMgrRPCStatus is zero, VTS applications operate in unsecured mode until a user logs on to the Manager1 account for the first time.

Secured Mode Once a user logs on to the application using the Manager1 account, the application then operates in secured mode from that point forward, and access to all VTS components and internal dialogs are screened by the Security Manager.
