Symptoms:
ODBC error on client at startup. NOTE: This situation can only occur with an version of VTS prior to 8.0.
Problem:
Possible problems with the data sources.
Recovery:
1. Stop and restart the client. If the ODBC error still exists, proceed to step 2.
2. Stop the client and in the Application Properties dialog, select "Force Synchronization of: Tags".
3. Restart the application on the client.
4. If the problem still persists, remove the application from the VAM on the client via the remove button; this will also remove both data sources associated with the application. When prompted as to whether you wish to delete the application directory and all of its files, click the No button.
5. Perform a Find Existing on the application to re-instate it to the VAM's Available Applications list; the data sources will be recreated.
6. Select the "Force Synchronization of: Tags" option again.
7. Restart the client.
