VTS enables users to monitor and control their applications over the World Wide Web. VTS Internet Server (hereafter referred to as VTS/IS) is a new technology suite available as an extension to a VTS license that enables client PCs without a VTS installation to access VTS applications using the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser.
Note: An entire chapter of the VTS Developer's Guide has been devoted to VTS/IS, and VIC; it is recommended that you refer to that chapter for complete information on working with applications over the web (see "VTS Developer's Guide: Browsing VTS Applications on the Web"). The sections that follow are supplementary to the information in the VTS Developer's Guide, and are provided here as they may require some fundamental programming knowledge.
