Remote Configuration Action Logging

VTS allows the logging of remote configuration actions to your application's Alarms.log file for display in the History list on the Alarm page.

Each time a developer performs a remote configuration action for a remote application (such as updating or rolling back a file, or releasing a lock), the action is displayed in the History list.

Note: To view the History list, navigate to the Alarm page and click the History button.

For each remote configuration entry in the History list, the following information is displayed:

•      The name of the PC on which the remote configuration action occurred,

•      The name of the resource item (tag or file) that was affected by the remote configuration action,

•      The action that was performed on that resource item, and

•      The username of the user who was logged on when the remote configuration action occurred.

The format for remote configuration actions is:

<WorkstationName> Tag or File or Page <ResourceItemName> Modified or Added or Deleted by <Username>

For example:

[WORKSTATION9] Page Overview Modified by JSmith

[STATION2] Tag AI20_1 Deleted by PSampson
