VTS Loader/ELM Service Synchronization

VTS loader/Edit Lockout Manager synchronization is the third stage of remote configuration (for information on the first and second stages, please refer to Get From Server, and Startup Synchronization). This process detects offline tag changes and server changes that might have occurred while the remote configuration process is in progress.

Offline Tag Changes

Offline tag changes are detected by comparing the last known copy of the tags in the replica tag database (SCT.mdb) with the current copy of the tags in Points.mdb. If a difference, such as an addition, deletion, or modification of data is detected, the VTS loader tries to lock the tag.

Server Changes

The server's copy of tags is the benchmark copy, and if no offline changes are detected, the server's copy of SCT.mdb is loaded.
